CARA crashes - What can I do ?

If you experience a crash, do the following:

  1. Check if you are using the most recent version. If you are not. Obtain the most recent version from the TemplatesPage and see if the crash still occurs. If yes then...
  2. Search for a report of the crash in the Cara IssueTracker using the appropriate search terms. There may be a workaround described there.

    If you cannot find a report of your particular crash reported in the IssueTracker then...

  3. Note down the steps to reproduce the crash and ...
  4. File a bug report in the Issue tracker. Don't forget to attach any relevant files such as a spectrum and your template if it is not a standard template. Include as much detail as possible on how the problem was generated, and how the attached files were generated. We will get back to you!
