The following new features are available in 1.0 RC8:

- CARA/Lua: the GUI library is ready! Build your own spectrum viewers!<br>

  - New user interface components available: !CheckBox, !RadioButton, !ButtonGroup, !LuaComboBox, !LuaScrollView, !TextView, Splitter, !WidgetStack, !TabWidget, !MultiLineEdit, !ListView, !ListItem, Painter, !MyWidget

  - dlg.createImage in dlg.loadImage was renamed

  - New methods !ContourPlot:toPoint, !ContourPlot:toPpm, Canvas:drawSlice and Canvas:drawIcon

  - New methods Spectrum:getAtPoint, Spectrum:getPlaneRange and Spectrum:getSliceRange

  - The "CARA/Lua":CALUA programmers manual (NMR.014) now has more than 100 pages (current version: 0.5x).

- StripScope

  - New selection feature: you can now select as many spins as you want in the reference strip and activate the context menu *Fit selected spins*. The *Strict strip matching* has the effect of an AND connection of the resulting strips (OR connection otherwise).

  - New strip context menu item *Replace Strip* and shortcut *RS*: to load a chosen system to be displayed in the selected strip lane.

- CARA Explorer, Residue Types list: new menu item *Reload*.

- All Scopes can now subscribe to the global cursor (multi cursor feature). Use menu *View/Sync to global cursor*.

This is the first release available for Macintosh OS X. It runs as an X windows application, but has exactly the same functionality as on all other platforms.
